Flavor in Every Bite

Depending on who you talk to, most would agree it’s finally summer! That means it’s time to fire up the grill and enjoy that smoky, freshly charred taste in everything you can find to throw on there. While the heavenly aromas of grilling alone seem to draw neighbors to your backyard, the charcoal briquettes probably aren’t the only thing you’re banking on for flavor. What am I talking about? marinades

Marinades are perfect for giving meat, vegetables, even tofu, an interesting twist. Maybe tonight it will be a whiskey-soaked steak or a honey-lime chicken breast. The internet and cookbooks are great resources for some tasty mixes, but while it’s possible to find gourmet marinades that have more than a dozen ingredients, some only to be found in the farthest corner of your neighborhood’s ethnic market, many marinade are surprisingly easy. What’s more, they can be made using ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.
